Fleet tracking that just works, from HGVs to digger attachments.
Not just the vans. Trucks, trailers, excavators, dumpers and generators — if it moves (or shouldn’t), Traxsit tracks it. Live, on one map, with the reporting to back it up.

Everything your dispatcher and transport manager need on one map
Live positions, the alerts worth knowing about, and the reports that turn movement into payroll, invoices and proof.
Live location & trip history
Second-by-second positions and full journey playback, with private/business mileage split out. The map your dispatcher keeps open all day.
Driver behaviour
Harsh braking, speeding, idling and acceleration scored per driver — so you can coach the costly habits and reward the safe ones.
Geofences & alerts
Movement after hours. Leaving a geofence. Entering a customer site. Ignition on at 2am. You decide what’s worth a notification; Traxsit watches around the clock.
Reports without the homework
Utilisation, mileage, timesheets, idling, first-start and last-stop — scheduled to your inbox, ready for payroll, customers or court.
Plant & asset tracking
Trackers that charge on the vehicle and stay live for days off it, Bluetooth beacons for smaller kit, engine-hours capture for machines, and theft alerts for the gear that earns the money — on the same map as the vans.
Theft alerts & recovery
Out-of-hours movement and geofence breaches trigger instant alerts, with Garda-ready location data to help recover a stolen vehicle or machine.
See every vehicle and machine in one place
Trucks, trailers, vans and plant on a single live map — Irish VRNs, real-time positions and full journey history. No spreadsheets, no phoning drivers to ask where they are.
- Live positions for the whole fleet, refreshed second-by-second
- Irish VRNs and asset names you actually recognise
- Journey playback and stop history on every vehicle
- Private/business mileage split for tax and expenses

Plant tracking for the gear that earns the money
A stolen digger doesn’t just cost the digger — it costs the job it was on. Traxsit tracks every machine, powered or not, with theft alerts, engine hours and the service history to keep it earning.
- Trailer & plant trackers that charge on the vehicle, then stay live for days
- Bluetooth beacons for smaller kit — like an AirTag for your tools
- Engine hours & utilisation — know what’s working and what’s parked, and bill accurately
- Out-of-hours and geofence theft alerts with recovery support
- Service by engine hours, not guesswork — feeds Traxsit maintenance

Multi-zone temperature monitoring, on the same record
For refrigerated vans, trucks and trailers, calibrated wireless sensors log temperature periodically across every compartment — chilled, frozen and ambient — alongside the vehicle’s location and journey. When a customer or auditor asks “was it cold the whole way?”, the proof is a report, not a glovebox of printouts.
- Periodic, multi-zone readings across vans, trucks and trailers
- Calibrated wireless sensors — no wiring, no driver input
- In-range / out-of-range status, logged against the trip
- Exportable temperature reports for customers and audits
Tracking is better with the rest of the platform
Live location is one record in a bigger one — checks, maintenance and tacho all share the same fleet and the same audit trail.
Walkaround checks
Daily RSA Schedule-1 checks your drivers actually complete, with photos and pass/fail logged against the same vehicle.
See the app →Maintenance & 13-week checks
Service schedules fed by real mileage and engine hours, with 13-week check and CVRT dates tracked so nothing slips.
See maintenance →Tachograph download
Driver cards and vehicle units pulled remotely — cards every 21 days, VU every 3 months — no USB sticks.
See tacho download →It all rolls up into one audit-ready record — see the fleet compliance hub.
Vehicle tracking FAQs
How much does vehicle tracking cost in Ireland? +
Traxsit vehicle tracking starts from €12 per vehicle per month, including the hardware and the platform. Installation by our own engineers is available nationwide and quoted separately, and plant and battery-powered asset trackers are priced separately — see pricing or book a demo for a quote.
Can I track diggers and trailers that have no power? +
Yes. For trailers and larger kit we fit trackers that charge up while connected to the vehicle, then stay live for a number of days on their own — so a trailer, compressor or generator shows on the same live map as your vans, with theft alerts. For smaller items we use Bluetooth beacons that work much like an Apple AirTag. Powered machines such as diggers and dumpers can also capture engine hours where available.
Will tracking work outside Ireland? +
Yes. Our trackers use multi-network SIMs that automatically hop onto whichever mobile network is strongest, so they keep reporting across most of the world — not just Ireland. A vehicle on a UK or European run stays on the map and in your journey history exactly as one working at home.
Who installs the trackers and how long does it take? +
Our own fully insured engineers fit every unit nationwide — discreetly and properly, and tested before they leave the yard. A standard vehicle install takes around an hour, and we work around your schedule to keep vehicles on the road.
Does tracking connect to the rest of the Traxsit platform? +
Yes. The mileage and engine hours from tracking feed your maintenance and 13-week check schedules, and tracking sits alongside walkaround checks and tachograph download in one audit-ready record. See the fleet compliance hub for how it fits together.
